PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2016

The second-year winger out of the University of San Francisco appeared in six MLS matches for United during the regular season before playing on loan for the Richmond Rickers for the remainder of the season.  He also started and played 66 minutes in the Black-and-Red’s Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers on 6/15.  Aguilar played in 14 matches (all starts) for the Kickers (United’s USL affiliate).  He scored one goal on 7/23 against Toronto FC II.

 

2015

D.C. United’s top college draft pick made his Black-and-Red debut off the bench in the 2014-15 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals at Alajuelense in Costa Rica and then made his MLS debut in United’s season- opening 1-0 win over Montreal on March 7. Aguilar made his first MLS start in a 1-0 loss at Philadelphia on May 17. He also made two appearances in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, registering his first assist in a 2-1 loss at Philadelphia on June 30. Aguilar made four starts in the group stage of the 2015-16 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, scoring the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Árabe Unido in Panama and in a 3-0 win at RFK Stadium against Jamaican side Montego Bay United.

COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

2011-2014: Finished career by playing in 72 matches... named to All-WCC First Team... earned WCC All-Academic Team honors for the third time. Was named to the All-West Coast Conference second team for third time in 2013. He earned West Coast Conference All-Academic Team honors in 2012.

PREP/CLUB CAREER: Considered one of the best high school players to ever come out of Sacramento… helped lead Encina Prep to back-to-back CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division VI Championships in 2009 and 2010...  scored the game winner in the 2010 Championship game and was named to the All-Sierra Delta League team after senior season…  also competed at the club level for the Capital Athletic Soccer Academy BOCA '92 team.
