In an effort to give players an opportunity to develop and gain experience, Miguel Aguilar, Luke Mishu and Chris Durkin all featured in the Richmond Kickers side that beat Toronto FC II 3-0 on July 23.’

The Kickers were dominant throughout the first half with Black-and-Red midfielder, Miguel Aguilar, scoring the opening goal in the 11th minute of the match. The goal was Aguilar’s first of the season after making four prior appearances for Richmond in 2016.

D.C. United’s youngest Homegrown Player, Christopher Durkin, played alongside Luke Mishu in the Kickers’ backline. The Black-and-Red players provided defensive support and organization that helped the Kickers secure their 10th shutout of the season. It was the 16-year-old’s second consecutive start for the United Soccer League (USL) team; he played in the 2-0 win against English Premier League side Swansea City A.F.C. in a friendly on July 16. Luke Mishu continues to provide Richmond with consistent defensive aid, starting in five of the Kickers’ 2016 fixtures.
