Redemption Instructions:

Step 1: Sign up for D.C. United’s SMS 

  • Sign up by clicking the link below or texting FIRST to (202) 600-2022. Message and data rates may apply.

Step 2: Get Your Redemption Link 

  • If you’re eligible (fans who have not previously attended a D.C. United match), you’ll receive a text with a ticket redemption link between approximately one week and 48 hours before a qualifying First Match On Us match. Eligibility is determined automatically based on prior ticket history.

Step 3: Select Your Seats 

  • Use the link in the text to choose up to two complimentary tickets in select seating sections. Seats are subject to availability and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Step 4: Enjoy Matchday at Audi Field 

  • Complete your redemption and get ready for your first D.C. United match.

Limit one First Match On Us redemption per person. Offer is non-transferable and subject to availability.

This FAQ is designed to answer common questions about how to claim your free tickets, what to expect at the match, and how to make the most of your first D.C. United experience at Audi Field. 

Is ADA seating available? How do I get accessible seats? 

Once you've selected your match for First Match On Us and selected your seats, send an email to Ticketing@DCUnited.com with your information and the date of the match you chose and we will be able to move your seats into ADA seating. 

Why do I get the error, “this email domain is not accepted,” when I register my email? 

Make sure you're using the email in which you used to register for the program, this is the email which will have access to the offer and allow you to claim your tickets. 

Why am I not eligible? 

Only those who have never had a ticket to a D.C. United match before are eligible. 

How do I select the match / seats? 

Once you receive a link via text you'll be able to select from all the available matches left for the season. Once you've picked the date, you'll be able to choose from a stadium map of locations to choose from based on what is left available. 

How do I access my tickets? Do I need to download the D.C. United x Audi Field app? 

You can expect an automated email with instructions on how to access your tickets. You don't need the D.C. United x Audi Field app but the app is a great way to easily manage tickets as well as find out what's happening on matchday. 

Can I move my seats to sit with someone else who’s going after I’ve selected? 

Unfortunately, we are unable to move seat locations once you've selected your seats. 

I did not receive a text to redeem my tickets, why not? 

A text will send to whatever phone number you used during the First Match On us registration process. You should receive texts welcoming you to texting with D.C. United as well as to the First Match On Us Program. If you are eligible you can expect a text about a week in advance of each First Match On Us match. If you're not eligible, you would have gotten an email with an offer to come to another match at a discounted rate and you shouldn't expect a text to claim First Match On Us tickets.
