Midfielder Marcelo Sarvas made his 150th career Major League Soccer regular-season appearance on Saturday afternoon against the Chicago Fire.
Marcelo, who joined the Black-and-Red in February of 2016, has appeared in 37 matches and made 32 starts for United, scoring one goal and adding two assists last season.
Since coming to D.C., Marcelo has been a mainstay in the Black-and-Red midfield. The Brazilian provides veteran experience in the middle of the pitch, building possession and playing distributor, as well as dropping back to bolster the defense. Prior to joining United, Marcelo spent one year in Colorado and three years in Los Angeles, where he won the MLS Cup with the Galaxy in 2012 and 2014.
