2026 D.C. United Foundation Golf Classic will be on September 21 at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club
Washington, D.C. (August 28, 2026) – The D.C. United Foundation will host its fifth annual Golf Classic on Monday, September 21 at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia.Â
The D.C. United Foundation Golf Classic brings together D.C. United First Team players, coaches, ownership, front office staff and corporate partners to raise funds that support its mission to harness the power of sport to level the playing field and provide more opportunities and access for young people and families throughout the DMV.Â
"Five years in, our Golf Classic remains our largest fundraiser, but its real power is what it makes possible," said Shanell Mosley, Senior Director, Community Impact & Executive Director of the D.C. United Foundation. "Funds raised this day directly support our year-round work, from community events and youth programs to the grants we award to local organizations doing critical work throughout the DMV. What makes this day special is watching our entire organization show up to play for something bigger than the game itself."Â
The 2025 D.C. United Foundation Golf Classic marked a major milestone in the event's history, surpassing $1 million raised over its first four years. That funding has powered the Foundation's core work such as free and adaptive soccer clinics, field revitalizations, mini-pitch builds, Soccer & Soar youth workshops, Season of Giving, and the Back to School Bash. It also fuels the recent launch of United In Play, equipping local teams and nonprofit organizations with the soccer equipment they need to show up confidently on the pitch such as soccer balls, shin guards, cleats, sports bras and more.
