D.C. United returns to Audi Field for the first time in two months this Saturday, July 25, for an Eastern Conference matchup against Toronto FC in the club’s 17th match of the 2026 MLS season. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET in Washington, D.C. The Black-and-Red enter the weekend at 4-5-7 with 19 points, having earned points in eight of their last nine matches, and look to claim their first home win of the second half of the campaign. 

D.C. United enter Saturday's contest off a 1-1 draw at Houston Dynamo FC on Wednesday, the club's first match back from the FIFA World Cup break. After falling behind in the 40th minute, the Black-and-Red responded through forward Tai Baribo, who headed home in the 78th minute for his ninth goal of the season. Forward Nathan Ordaz, acquired from LAFC during the break, provided the assist off the bench, and midfielder Andre Dozzell made his D.C. United debut. Head Coach René Weiler will look to convert that road point into three at home, with Baribo and forward Louis Munteanu, who has five goals in 12 appearances, leading the attack. 

Toronto FC arrive in Washington at 3-6-7 with 16 points, sitting twelfth in the Eastern Conference. The Reds are coming off a 0-0 draw at the New England Revolution on Wednesday, their second consecutive scoreless result after a 0-0 draw at CF Montréal on July 16. Toronto have won just once away from BMO Field this season, going 1-4-3 on the road with their lone victory coming at FC Cincinnati on March 8, and have not won in any competition since April 4. Forward Daniel Salloi leads the club with four goals and five assists in 16 appearances, forward Josh Sargent has added three goals and an assist in 10 appearances, and goalkeeper Luka Gavran has posted 39 saves and three clean sheets in 16 matches. 

Saturday's match is the first meeting between the two clubs in the 2026 MLS regular season. D.C. United lead the all-time regular season series 18-13-13, with the most recent meeting a 2-0 Toronto victory on May 10, 2025 at BMO Field. The Black-and-Red have not lost at home to Toronto FC in more than a decade and will look to extend that run on Saturday night.

D.C. United will look to flip that result this saturday.
