D.C. United Acquires 2028 Second Round SuperDraft Selection from Seattle Sounders FC in Exchange for Midfielder Caden Clark

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Sept. 3, 2026) - D.C. United has traded midfielder Caden Clark to Seattle Sounders FC in exchange for Seattle’s natural second round selection in the 2028 MLS SuperDraft.  The Black-and-Red could also receive up to $50,000 in conditional 2027 General Allocation Money if Clark remains on Seattle’s roster in 2027.  The trade was completed prior to the close of the MLS Secondary Transfer Window.

Clark joined D.C. United in August 2025 from CF Montréal after spending two seasons with the Canadian club from 2024-2025.  He made his debut for the Black-and-Red on Sept. 20, 2025, against Inter Miami CF and made 11 appearances across two seasons.
