D.C. United forward Álvaro Saborío has been named to Costa Rica's roster for the Copa America Centenary, joining four other MLS players in the 23-man final selection.

Saborío, 34, recently moved into a tie for fourth among active players with his 71st career MLS goal.  He opened the scoring against the New York Red Bulls on Friday, May 13, in the 20th minute.  The Costa Rican now leads the Black-and-Red with four goals.

In FIFA tournaments, los Ticos are 27-14-9 when Saborío plays. He most recently suited up for Costa Rica in a World Cup Qualifier on March 29, a 3-0 victory over Jamaica. Saborío has over 105 caps with the senior team and has scored over 30 goals.
