D.C. United waives Milos Kocic

Washington, D.C. (February 18, 2010) - D.C. United announced today the club has waived goalkeeper Milos Kocic. The netminder was drafted by United in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft and made three League starts for the Black-and-Red last year.

“We would like to thank Milos for his contributions to D.C. United and wish him the best of luck in the future,” said United General Manager Dave Kasper.

Kocic was one of five D.C. United draft picks in 2009, selected in the second round (21st overall). The goalkeeper saw time in four League matches during his rookie season, played in five of United’s six U.S. Open Cup games and three CONCACAF Champions League matches. Kocic finished the season with a 1-2-1 record in MLS play and a 2.34 goals against average.

Broadcasting and P.A. Request: When speaking of the organization, please refer to the team as either “D.C. United” or “United,” but not “the D.C. United” or “the United.” We appreciate your cooperation.
