WASHINGTON, D.C. (JuneĀ 4, 2026) -Ā D.C. United hasĀ agreed to terms with Suwon Samsung BluewingsĀ FCĀ of the K League 2, who have chosen to exercise their permanent transfer for goalkeeper Kim JoonĀ Hong following his loan move in January 2026.Ā
The Black-and-Red first signedĀ JoonĀ HongĀ from Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC in the South Korean first division on January 9, 2025.Ā The goalkeeperĀ went on to make 11 appearances across all competitionsĀ for D.C. UnitedĀ in 2025, recording 23 saves, two clean sheets, and overĀ 1,049 minutesĀ played in his debut season.Ā
