Washington, D.C. (Aug. 27, 2026) – D.C. United today announced the 2026 Raise a Toast Awards Presented by Giant and the D.C. United Foundation will be on Wednesday, November 5. D.C. United is accepting honoree nominations through Friday, Sept. 4. To nominate a local leader that embodies our community values of empowerment, opportunity and service, please submit the form here.
Raise a Toast presented by Giant and the D.C. United Foundation, is D.C. United’s annual recognition that celebrates changemakers in the Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia area committed to making a difference. Honorees will be celebrated at a dinner reception and receive a $1,000 donation to a local nonprofit of their choosing to further the impact of their work.
“We’re excited to honor another incredible group of eleven individuals this Fall that are driving positive change across the community,” said Shanell Mosley, Senior Director, Community Impact & Executive Director of D.C. United Foundation. “D.C. United’s Raise a Toast recognition highlights people in our community who are actively driving change. We’re proud to honor these individuals, while making a donation to a local nonprofit of each recipient’s choosing, allowing us to continue supporting the important work across our community and the causes most meaningful to them.”
