WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 2, 2023) – D.C. United have today announced the club and Inova have expanded their partnership to include naming rights of the training facility and performance center in Leesburg, Va. The state-of-the-art training facility will be known as the Inova Performance Complex.

The 40,000 square foot 30-acre training facility, which opened in 2021, features four full-size outdoor practice fields, and an elite training center equipped with a weight room and recovery facilities for the club’s performance and medical staff.

“We are excited to further strengthen our relationship with Inova and have them become the naming rights holder for our training facility in Loudoun County, Danita Johnson, D.C. United President of Business Operations, said. “As our official sports medicine partner, our relationship with Inova will continue to help the team perform both on and off the field.”

Since March 2023, Inova Sports Medicine has supported D.C. United as their official sports medicine partner with a diverse group of fellowship-trained sports medicine physicians, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons, advanced practice providers, neuropsychologists, athletic trainers, and physical therapists.

“It’s an honor to be the head team physician for D.C. United. I’ve been in sports medicine for over a decade with Inova and worked with teams across the professional landscape, but the Black-and-Red are my hometown soccer team,” said Peter MacArthur, MD. “This facility will be an extension of Inova, where we treat every patient the same way we treat our world-class professional athletes. My hope is that every fan understands that Inova and D.C. United stand for excellence and are committed to this community.”

Inova and D.C. United unveiled the Inova Performance Complex with a naming rights ceremony on May 2.
