Midfielder Yamil Asad has been nominated for MLS' AT&T Goal of the Week thanks to his first-half strike against the Columbus Crew on Saturday. The goal was Asad's second in his first four matches with the Black-and-Red.
In the 30th minute of the match, Asad received a ball at the top of the box from fellow Argentine Luciano Acosta. Asad collected, looked up toward goal to pick his spot, and sent a perfectly-placed strike into the left corner past Columbus goalkeeper Jon Kempin to level the scoreline at 1-1.
This is Asad's first Goal of the Week nomination of 2018, and first Goal of the Week nomination with the Black-and-Red. Fans can vote until midnight PT on Wednesday, March 28.
