Six D.C. United players make American Soccer Now's Top 100

Perry Kitchen Goal Celebration vs SKC

The newest American Soccer Now Top 100 is out, and six D.C. United standouts have made the list. Earning due recognition this year is Perry Kitchen at No. 42, Bill Hamid at No. 44, Eddie Johnson at No. 51, Nick DeLeon at No. 79, Chris Rolfe at No. 84 and Luis Silva at 92.

D.C. United, Real Salt Lake and the Colorado Rapids each have six players on the list, which is the most by an MLS club. Of United’s six players, four have improved since July’s top 100.

Kitchen continues to improve and impress at just 22 years old. The Indiana native, who has a career-high four goals and four assists, jumped 18 spots from 60th in July. The young midfielder is 23rd on the list when rearranged from youngest to oldest.

Riding his first MLS All-Star nod, Hamid’s stature also continues to grow. The Homegrown has made spectacular save after spectacular save to garner American Soccer Now’s attention, moving up 19 spots from the previous ranking.

Rolfe, who arrived in D.C. in April and has sparked the Black-and-Red with six goals and six assists, increases in rank from 88th in July and has steadily moved upward since May.

Silva, with a career-best eight goals and four assists, is making his first appearance on the ASN 100 list, coming in at No. 92. The 24-year-old, acquired last season from Toronto FC, continues to turn heads with his creativity and his ability to find the back of the net.
