Though D.C. United ultimately dropped the match here at RFK, Luis Silva had a standout performance for the Black-and-Red. In the 8th minute, John Thorrington found Silva's feet, who turned and hit a beautiful shot, beating Shuttleworth low to the left. Silva’s shot put DCU up 1-0, but his goal was not enough to put a W in the books for United.
