We'll officially annouce later today that we've locked up Devon McTavish with a new contract. As per usual, the specific terms will not be released.
After being drafted in the fourth round of the 2006 MLS Supplemental Draft, Devon has played in 53 League games (48 starts) over the last three seasons. Last year, he played in a career high 26 (25 starts, also a career high) and was used all over the field - from right midfield to centerback to defensive midfield to a marking back. His versatility will certainly come in handy in 2009. In all competitions last year, the West Virginia University alum tallied four goals and five assists in 42 games (40 starts).
