A recap from the past weekend's Academy fixtures on Nov. 23 & 24

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Virginia- The D.C. United Academy hosted five games at Segra Field against Richmond United and Arlington Soccer Association respectively on the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of November. The under-14’s continued their impressive run of form, securing their third win on the trot and they remain unbeaten over four games. The under-15’s scored 5 goals in their two games resulting in back-to-back wins over consecutive weekends as they hosted the last of the regular season games of 2019.

The under-14’s kicked off the weekend’s games against Richmond United U-14’s. A 38th minute strike from Adrian Buri gave them the lead which was soon followed by #74 Pablo Linzoain Jr. scoring at the 46th minute to secure all 3 points. The under-15’s won 3-1 over Richmond United U-15’s with Brian Chavez, Tyler Shin and Angel Vargas- Hernandez all finding the net in the span of 20 minutes in the second half. The under-17’s lost their match against Richmond United U-17’s with Mathias Yohannes getting on the scoresheet with a penalty.

The U-14’s drew 2-2 against Arlington Soccer Association on Sunday, November 24th at Greenbrier Park in Arlington. Adrian Buri was again on the scoresheet along with Jose Noel Callix. The under-15’s wrapped up the regular season games of 2019 in style with two first half goals from Angel Vargas-Hernandez and Sebastian Richardson securing the win.
