It was a slow night for both D.C. United and the Montreal Impact, who were playing on tired legs. There weren’t many chances generated throughout the game, but the opportunities picked up in the second half. Bill Hamid was only called upon to make one save, while Montreal goalkeeper Evan Bush made none. Bill Hamid earned his fourth shut-out of the season and is now tied with Zach Steffen for the most shut-outs in the League.

Luciano Acosta found some room in the second half on more than one occasion. His first shot opportunity came in the 73rd minute of the match. Acosta cut to his right and uncorked a shot that ultimately went wide of the net. His second opportunity came in the 79th minute of the match, as the Argentine used his footwork to break free of his defenders, and he smashed a shot to the left of the goal post.
