From now until 5 PM ET on September 21, you can vote for the MLS players you want to see on the downloadable MLS FIFA 19 custom cover, including D.C. United forward Wayne Rooney. Vote as many times as you'd like until the deadline, and the top four players receiving the most votes will be added to the cover.
Since joining the Black-and-Red on June 28, Rooney has helped spur D.C. United's rise in the Eastern Conference standings, scoring four goals and adding six assists in his first 12 appearances for the club. The captain notched an assist in his MLS debut on July 14 against Vancouver, scored in his first-ever start at Audi Field on July 28 against Colorado, tallied two assists in United's wild win over Orlando on August 12, and recorded his first MLS brace on August 15 against Orlando.
Rooney's leadership and world-class skill in the final third have aided in pushing United to a 6-2-0 record at Audi Field since opening the stadium, and have given the Black-and-Red a legitimate chance to fight their way into the playoffs after a rocky start to the 2018 season.
