After falling to Kazakhstan 3-2 on March 23, Zoltán Stieber and the Hungarian National Team return to action at 2 PM ET on Tuesday, March 27 to face Scotland.

Stieber remained an unused substitute last week but will hope to earn his 26th cap in Tuesday's match. The midfielder has more international appearances than any other player on D.C. United.

Hungary Outlook

In their prior friendly, the Hungarians conceded two early goals to Kazakhstan, finding themselves down 2-0 after only ten minutes of play. Hungary was able to pull within one in the 21st minute, but Kazakhstan scored again in the 39th minute, leaving the home side chasing for much of the remainder of the match. A 68th minute goal from the New England Revolution's Krisztián NĂ©meth gave the home side another boost of energy in the match's final moments, but it wasn't enough for the Hungarians, who ultimately suffered the disappointing 3-2 defeat.

Tuesday's game will be about putting together a complete performance. Hungary was dominated by Kazakhstan in possession (33% to 67%), and will be determined to control the game against Scotland instead of chasing from behind. With a healthy and well-rested Stieber on the bench, Black-and-Red fans may see the winger add another cap under his international belt against Scotland.

Scotland Outlook

The Scots are 3-2-1 in their previous six matches, most recently falling to Costa Rica (and United midfielder Ulises Segura) 1-0 in their March 23 friendly at Hampden Park. With newly-appointed manager Alex McLeish at the helm, Scotland are trying to move forward into a new era of what they hope to be a resurgence on the international stage. After their defeat to Costa Rica, though, the Scots, much like Hungary, will be striving to conjure up a more inspiring performance.

History

Hungary are 4-2-2 against Scotland all-time. The countries last met on Aug. 18, 2004, when Hungary routed Scotland 3-0 in an international friendly.
