Major League Soccer have announced that the MLS All-Stars will host Italian powerhouse Juventus F.C. in the 2018 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target.
The second-ever meeting between the MLS All-Stars and the Serie A club will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Aug. 1 at 7:30 PM ET and will be televised live on ESPN and UniMás.
Juventus are Italy’s most decorated club and have won the last six Serie A titles. In addition to their extensive history, they also have some of the biggest names in world soccer. Argentine forward Paulo Dybala is quickly establishing himself as a player to watch, while goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon continues to be one of the most elite goalkeepers in the world.
The nation’s capital has hosted the premier midseason showcase twice since 1996. In 2002, the MLS All-Stars defeated the U.S. National Team, 3-2. Then in 2004, the MLS All-Star format switched back to the East against the West format, with the East winning 3-2 that year.
