Paul Arriola named to MLS Team of the Week | Week 33

Coming off of a strong showing in United's final match at RFK Stadium, Paul Arriola has been named to the MLS Team of the Week bench for Week 33.

Arriola repeatedly tested the Red Bulls' back line on Sunday, creating multiple chances in front of goal and tallying his first career MLS score. Minutes before halftime, the midfielder beautifully finished a perfect Luciano Acosta cross, seizing the lead for the Black-and-Red and giving the RFK faithful good reason to erupt.

Beyond the goal, Arriola remained energetic and influential all night. In his 90 minutes played, the midfielder led the Black-and-Red in shots (three) and shots on target (two). Arriola's difficulty to defend also frustrated New York's defense at times, allowing the quick and crafty midfielder to win two fouls in prime real estate thanks to his skill on the ball.
