Hamid named to MLS Team of the Week, Franklin makes bench | Week 24

Bill Hamid has been named to MLS Team of the Week, while Sean Franklin has been named to the Team of the Week bench following Saturday's 1-0 win at Colorado.

Hamid had one of his best performances of the year, recording four spectacular saves to secure his fourth shutout of the season. After Colorado's own goal gave United the lead in the 27th minute, the Rapids pressed hard for an equalizer, but Hamid repeatedly came up huge for his team, earning Man of the Match honors in the win.

Defender Sean Franklin also had a strong outing in Colorado, playing 90 minutes and aiding in the effort to keep the Rapids from equalizing. Franklin recorded the second-most tackles on the team with three, including a goal-saving stop in the 24th minute. As the Rapids worked their way into the box and found a clear look at goal, Franklin made a last-second tackle to deny the shot.
