United forward Alhaji Kamara, who is on loan with the team's United Soccer League affiliate, the Richmond Kickers, has been named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 10. The Sierra Leonean scored a hat trick against the Ottawa Fury on May 27 in the Kickers' 5-3 loss.
Kamara, who United signed last May as a Discovery Signing, has featured in eight matches for the Kickers this season, scoring four goals and is second on the team in chances created (eight). Last year, the 23-year-old made eight appearances for the Black-and-Red (two starts) and set the record for fastest-ever goal scored by a player making his debut in Major League Soccer (33 seconds, May 27, 2016 against Sporting Kansas City).
