United and Max Tissot mutually terminate contract

United have mutually terminated the contract of defender and Canadian National Team player Maxim Tissot. Tissot, 25, started one match for the Black-and-Red, playing all 90 minutes on April 22 in the 2-2 draw against New England.

“We thank Max for his service and wish him the best of luck,” Dave Kasper, United general manager and VP of soccer operations, said.

United signed the Montreal Impact Homegrown Player on Feb. 24, 2017, following a successful preseason trial.

Tissot previously made 44 MLS appearances (22 starts) with the Montreal Impact from 2013 to 2016 and scored five goals.
