Forwards Fabián Espíndola and Álvaro Saborío have been named to the MLS Team of the Week following their performances in United's 4-0 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps on April 9th.

Espíndola scored the game's opening goal in the 39th minute, tapping in at the back post from three yards out after Chris Rolfe's shot was deflected by Vancouver goalkeeper David Ousted.  The Argentine's second of the game (and third on the season) came from a similar spot in the penalty area, volleying home in the 54th minute after Steve Birnbaum's header rebounded off the crossbar from a corner.

Saborío, who entered the match in the 79th minute for Espíndola, wasted no time in getting on the scoresheet himself, calmly tucking the ball over Ousted in the 88th minute after Luciano Acosta played a perfect pass in stride to the onrushing Costa Rican.  Acosta and Saborío combined once more three minutes later, when the little Argentine found Saborío in the box with a perfectly weighted through ball.  The veteran MLS forward finished past Ousted for his second goal of the game and first brace since March 29, 2014.

Acosta, whose two assists to Saborío were the first of his fledgling MLS career, was also named to the bench for this week's Team of the Week.
