In boxing, the tale of the tape is the pre-fight measurement between the two combatants. In 2013, we'll tell the tale of the tape between D.C. United and its foe of the week. (Wednesday, 7 p.m. EST; CSN+ / Channel 8)

Strength of Schedule

United’s strength of schedule (as of its last match on 4/27) is among the top four in MLS, with its opponents’ total winning percentage at .487.

De Rosario vs. Houston Dynamo

D.C. United captain and MLS veteran Dwayne De Rosario is a former player with the Houston Dynamo and helped the team win back-to-back MLS Cup titles in 2006 and 2007. Since his departure from the Texas side, De Rosario has shown no sympathy toward his former team, and is third all- time amongst active players in goals (4) against Houston.

Strikes in May

United scored 13 of its total 53 goals of the 2012 season in the month of May, more than any other month throughout the season ending with a playoff run.

Goals Will Come

In the Black-and-Red’s last match against the Columbus Crew on 4/27, United reeled off 21 shots, three times as many as what the Crew posted. Dwayne De Rosario alone recorded 1/3 of those shots (7) and leads United in shots (14) on the season.

Houston, We Have a Problem

In nine total games of the 2013 MLS season, the Dynamo has managed only one win when playing away from home, going 1-2-1 on the road thus far this season.
