& Justin Mapp
D.C. United selected Justin Mapp with the fourth overall pick of the 2002 MLS SuperDraft after Mapp signed as a Project-40 player. He spent the 2002 MLS season with the Black-and-Red, making three appearances for the club and becoming the then fifth-youngest player in MLS history when he made his debut on 7/24/02 against the Columbus Crew.
& Troy Perkins
Troy Perkins spent four seasons with D.C. United from 2004-2007 after being signed to a developmental contract having gone undrafted in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft. In that period, Perkins made 77 starts and kept 19 shutouts. He then returned to the club on 1/13/10 from Norwegian side Valarenga and went on to start 22 games of the 2010 MLS season, recording five shutouts.

In his lone season for the University of Akron in 2010, Perry Kitchen (along with teammate Chris Korb) played alongside Zarek Valentin as the Zips won the 2010 College Cup thanks to a 1-0 win over Louisville in the tournament final. James Riley and Sanna Nyassi were teammates together with Seattle Sounders FC from 2009-2010 after Riley was selected eighth by the club in the 2008 MLS Expansion Draft. The pair first met on 11/13/09, with New Mexico getting a 1-0 win in a game that Willis started and Smith entered as a substitute. The players met again on 10/8/10, with Denver winning that match by a score of 1-0, Willis securing a shutout. The teams then played just six days later on 10/14/10, with New Mexico taking a 1-0 victory.
