Jared Jeffre and Conor Doyle goal celebration

After Montreal tied up the match in the 52nd minute, Conor Doyle put away a cross from James Riley with a one-touch finish. Doyle gave D.C. United a 2-1 lead with his first ever goal in Major League Soccer. But he wasn’t done.

In extra time, Jared Jeffrey broke up a play at midfield as the Impact was throwing numbers forward to equalize. Collin Martin then played a smart ball to Doyle, who took off on a breakaway, and laid it off for Jeffrey to put away. D.C. United walked away with a 3-1 win over the Impact.
