This isn’t only the number of goals D.C. United put away yesterday, but it’s the number of goals Luis Silva has scored in just as many games for the Black-and-Red. The talented 24-year-old became United’s leading scorer with last night’s strike in just 141 minutes of play.

Conor Doyle netted his first MLS goal last night, putting DCU up 2-1 over the Impact. He then added to the stat sheet again, assisting on Jared Jeffrey’s goal in extra time.  In his second-ever MLS game, Doyle finished with a goal and an assist. Not too shabby.

Jared Jeffrey also scored his first-ever MLS goal last night, giving DCU a 3-1 lead over the Impact, ensuring the impossibility of a comeback from the Canadian side. One is not only the number of goals Jeffrey netted, but also the number of meals he promised to buy for Doyle for unselfishly assisting on his goal.
