MLS a 'big possibility' for Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has already conquered half of Europe.  Domestic league titles in Holland, Italy and Spain are more than enough evidence of that.  Since signing with Paris St. Germain, the Swedish star has his eyes on another European honor: Ligue One champion.

Ibrahimovic reporedly signed a three-year deal with free-spending PSG, but - once his time in Paris is up - could the United States, and Major League Soccer, be next on Ibra's globetrotting 'to do' list?

"In the future it's a big possibility," Ibrahimovic acknowledged Friday, when asked about playing in MLS.  "To come to MLS and to play my game here, hopefully it happens."

The three-time Serie A Footballer of the Year is set to make his PSG debut against D.C. United on Saturday at RFK, and despite his new club's talent overload, 'Ibra' expects a stiff challenge from the hosts.

"It will be a tough game tomorrow," Ibrahimovic continued.  "But that is what we like, when the games are tough."

Immediately following Saturday's match, Paris St. Germain will return to France for the remainder of the preseason.  PSG hosts Barcelona in a friendly on August 4 before opening their Ligue One campaign on August 11 against FC Lorient.
