Rodney Wallace to make appearance at United Soccer Club training session on Tuesday

Washington, D.C. (October 5, 2009) - D.C. United midfielder Rodney Wallace will be making an appearance tomorrow Tuesday, Oct. 6 at the United Soccer Club training session in Silver Spring, MD. United Soccer Club is one of the many community outreach ventures of United for D.C., United’s non-profit arm. United for D.C. and the U.S. Soccer Foundation work together to support their missions to promote youth soccer in economically disadvantaged urban communities.


Through its partnership with the Montgomery County Recreation Department, United for D.C. was able to expand the after school soccer program this fall to the Long Branch Community Center. The Long Branch program is coached by former United States youth national team player and Columbia, MD native Todd Haskins. In addition to Wallace and Haskins, former United defender and current United Soccer Club Director Judah Cooks will be in attendance.
