Playoff picture - Sept. 21

Following this past weekend's results, here are the current standings for the MLS Cup Playoffs.

Colorado wins the tie-breaker over Chivas USA (due to goal differential) to become #4 seed in the Western Conference, so here is what the first round match-ups would look like:

EASTERN:
(1) Columbus Crew vs. (4) Chivas USA
(2) Chicago Fire vs. (3) D.C. United
WESTERN:
(1) Houston Dynamo vs. (4) Colorado Rapids
(2) LA Galaxy vs. (3) Seattle Sounders FC
With four League games left, United completely controls its own destiny. If the team were win all four remaining games there would be no question the team would be in the post-season. What do you think about the team's current position? How big is Sunday's game against San Jose?
