Recently, United's Presenting Partner Volkswagen opened its brand new corporate headquarters in Herndon, VA. United's Fred, Luciano Emilio, Ivan Guerrero, Jaime Moreno, Bryan Namoff and Louis Crayton (above, L-R) were there for the day's big festivities to take photos and sign autographs for the 500 employees who now call Herndon their workplace. At the grand opening, VW announced a five-year, $2.1 million education initative - called "Partners in Education" - designed to support students and teachers, in the VA and DC area, interested in advanced automative technology and next generation automotive engineering.
“We are happy to have this chance to give something back to our community. We work here, we live here, and we intend to give here,” said Stefan Jacoby, President and CEO of V-dub. “Our five-year education program is comprehensive and will serve as a catalyst for further educational entrepreneurship. It will help students whether they are in high school, technical school, community college, university or graduate school.”
