If you're like me, you've already started a big day of watching sports. The US Men's Olympic Soccer Team is underway and a full slate of Olympic Games and the PGA Championships lies ahead. Our day ends with D.C. United.
United has trophies on their mind. Before turning their attention to the Dewar Cup, when the Black-and-Red host New England in the semifinals of the U.S. Open Cup (buy some tickets!), the boys are in New York tonight with hopes of securing the Atlantic Cup by taking the season series over the Red Bulls. The game is to be shown live on Comcast SportsNet and aired on WFED and the United Spanish Radio Network. The game kicks off at 5:00 p.m. Tune in!
To be properly prepared, here's some prep reading for commercials throughout the day:
- Steven Goff of the Washington Post.
- John Haydon in the Washington Times.
- Charley Boehm at dcunited.com (with game notes).
[K. Sheldon here: how about some predictions, too? Drop your guess in the comments and If you nail the correct score, you may win two tickets to an upcoming United home game.]
