PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2016

A rookie center midfielder out of Syracuse University, Büscher played in 20 matches in his first MLS season, starting three times.  The German scored his first D.C. United goal in the second leg of the 2015-16 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League against Querétaro on March 1.  Büscher made his first MLS start on 8/24 against Montreal, recorded his first MLS assist against NYCFC on 9/01 and scored his first MLS goal against Orlando City SC on 9/24.  He also played 120 minutes in United’s Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Match against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers on 6/15.

Announced as part of Generation adidas on Jan. 7, 2016.  Following a trade with Sporting Kansas City, D.C. United received the 11th overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft in exchange for Targeted Allocation Money, with which they selected Büscher.
