What more can I say: you truly are the best. My number 1 fan and long time friend Oscar Zambrana and the Barra Brava, The Screaming Eagles, La Norte, District Ultra's and everyone here that has been supportive of myself and D.C. United over the years. I don't have enough words to thank you all: Over the years you have dedicated yourselves to D.C. United. You stuck with us through the good and the bad, you rode the storm and you continue to ride the storm, and I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I ask that you continue your support for a team that will hold a place in my heart forever.
D.C. United needs you! It takes a true fan base to keep a quality team. Thank you for putting everything into this team, we really couldn't have asked for a better owner! I wish I could have helped turn things around over the last few years, and it pains me to know that I couldn't and that I apologize for. I hope that one day D.C. What can I say? I will miss being with you all and sharing the jokes, you guy's are the one's that made it easy for me to come to work every day with a smile on my face, without all of you I wouldn't be where I am today. We were goofballs in the locker room but when we stepped on the field we always set out to do our job in a professional manner. Saturday was a very emotional day for me as my playing days with D.C. United came to an end, but also a happy one as we gathered together at Bar 19th for the unveiling of the 99 Dreams 1 Heart Foundation.
It has been a rough few months for me, It breaks my heart to walk away from a place that I call home, a team that I have so much passion for, but most of all! my team mates and staff that I love so much. I can't thank D.C. United and Major League Soccer enough for 15 years of service and allowing me the opportunities to succeed in the game that I love.
I would like to thank all of you from M.L.S. along with D.C. United for all of your hard work, dedication and professionalism shown towards myself and the club, as well as the friendships we have formed over the years. I will miss you all!
