D.C. United (7-4-3, 24 points) fell to the Houston Dynamo (7-2-2, 23 points) at BBVA Compass Stadium, 2-1 on Saturday night. Houston scored two goals in quick succession to cancel out Wayne Rooneyās 46th-minute strike.
The first half finished scoreless with both sides generated very little offensive opportunities. Just after the second half started, Lucas Rodriguez and Ulises Segura charged down the field with Rooney hanging wide on the left wing. Rodriguez feathered a pass to Segura who then found Rooney on the back post for a tap in goal.

The one goal lead was undone in the 67th minute after Houstonās sub, Memo Rodriguez scored his fifth goal of the season. Rodriguez cut in from the left wing and curled one past Bill Hamid to tie the match at 1-1.
Just 60 seconds later, Tommy McNamara scored his first goal in as a member of the Dynamo on a back post cross that leaked past Marquinhos Pedroso and Hamid. Paul Arriola received a red card in the 85th minute of the match after video review.
The match finished 2-1 in favor of the Dynamo and ended Unitedās three-game unbeaten run. United remain tied for first place in the Eastern Conference with the Union who have a game in hand of the Black-and-Red.

D.C. United will continue league play on Saturday, May 25th at Gillette Stadium against the New England Revolution at 7:30 PM ET. The match will be broadcast on FloFC.
