D.C. United rescued a point in Montreal, coming from behind after halftime to draw 1-1 with CF Montréal. Prince Owusu put the hosts in front from the penalty spot in the 50th minute following a VAR review, but Tai Baribo leveled things in the 67th, heading home a Kimito Nono cross for his side's equalizer. Nono, making his D.C. United debut, picked up the assist in his first appearance for the club. Sean Johnson turned in a strong night in goal on a milestone occasion, denying Montréal repeatedly in his 450th MLS appearance as the Black-and-Red rode out a heavy late push that included Olger Escobar hitting the post in stoppage time.
