The 2019 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target is heading to Orlando. Next season, Black-and-Red players will be vying for a chance to play at Orlando City Stadium, where the 2019 edition of the league's All-Star Game will officially take place.
The game will be broadcast on the FOX, Univision, TSN and TVA family of networks, as well as in more than 170 countries worldwide. While next year's opponent has yet to be announced, the MLS All-Stars have faced a number of iconic international opponents over the years, including Juventus, Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich. This year, no United players were selected to take part in the All-Star Game, but the Black-and-Red will hope their recent resurgence and elevation of individual and collective play translates in to the 2019 season and a number of 2019 All-Star Game bids.
All-Star Week in Orlando will include a variety of other activities beyond the headlining match—the week will also feature the MLS All-Star concert presented by Target and community outreach events by MLS WORKS.
The 2019 game will be Orlando's first MLS All-Star game since 1998, when the MLS All-Stars defeated league stars from the rest of the world, 6-1. More than 34,000 fans filled the Citrus Bowl to watch the rout, which included a goal from former Black-and-Red star Roy Lassiter.
