D.C. United’s leading scorer Luis Silva registered his first assist for the Black-and-Red against Montreal. After peeling off the shoulder of center back Alessandro Nesta, Silva picked up a pass from midfielder Perry Kitchen, then committed outside back Hassoun Camara, which created a gap for Conor Doyle to run through. Silva played a ball though the gap, and Doyle finished with class.

Conor Doyle found his second MLS goal against the Impact, netting the equalizer in the 81st minute. Doyle entered the game as a substitute for Kyle Porter in the 30th minute and proved a difference maker once again. Despite Marco Di Vaio’s game-winner, Doyle has shown that he has the composure and skill to put the ball in the back of the net.

Lewis Neal earned seven minutes in last night’s match. The veteran midfielder hasn’t featured for DCU since March 23rd, having undergone groin and abdominal surgeries on May 24th. Neal, who has been practicing for a few weeks, working to get his touch and fitness back, looked sharp during his brief showing on the pitch.
