Black-and-Red goalkeeper Bill Hamid is continuing his hot start to the 2017 season, earning his third Save of the Week nomination in five matches. The Homegrown Player is up for Major League Soccer's Week 6 Save of the Week thanks to his clutch double-save against New York City FC on April 8.

With the NYCFC attack desperate for a goal, David Villa launched a rapidly-dropping shot from the top of the box, which Hamid rebounded. Midfielder Jack Harrison was left alone for a point-blank follow-up shot of his own, but Hamid returned to his feet and dove to his opposite side to deny Harrison's attempt as well.

Hamid made his 165th career MLS start for United against New York City and recorded five saves in the 2-1 victory. Vote Hamid for Save of the Week using the bracket below, or visit MLSsoccer.com.
