D.C. United’s Edison Flores will undergo plastic surgery on August 31 to repair multiple facial fractures suffered during the match against the New England Revolution on August 25. Flores also sustained a concussion in the collision. Dr. Stephen B. Baker of Plastic Surgery DC and McLean VA will perform the surgery.
Flores is expected to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks as he rehabilitates from the injury and completes concussion protocol. He will be placed on the Injured List.
