D.C. United Select Midfielder Skage Simonsen with the 69th Pick in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft Presented by adidas

D.C. United have selected Southern Methodist University midfielder Skage Simonsen with the 69th overall pick (Third Round) in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas. 

Simonsen scored 10 goals and recorded four assists in 27 appearances (26 starts) for Southern Methodist University from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, Simonsen scored four goals and recorded three assists in 16 appearances (15 starts). Prior to joining Southern Methodist University, Simonsen spent his Freshman and Sophomore seasons with St. John’s University from 2018 to 2019. He scored nine goals and recorded 10 assists in 38 appearances (31 starts).
