WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 25, 2023) - D.C. United have acquired forward Cristian Dájome from Vancouver Whitecaps FC in exchange for $350,000 in 2024 General Allocation Money (GAM) pending receipt of his P-1 Visa. Vancouver will receive an additional $200,000 in 2025 General Allocation Money if certain performance-based incentives are met. "Recruiting a dynamic player with transitional speed who can play anywhere along our frontline was one of our main objectives before the primary window closed," Dave Kasper, D.C. United President of Soccer Operations, said. "Cristian’s ability to stretch the field, in combination with our core attacking group will give us multiple options in terms of how we want to play. We are delighted to bring him to the District."

Dájome spent the 2019 season on loan in the Ecuadorian first division with Independiente del Valle where he scored nine goals and recorded four assists in 39 appearances, helping them win the ‘18-’19 Copa Sudamericana.
The Colombian is a product of the Bogotá FC Academy in Colombia where he rose through the ranks and signed with the first team in 2013.
