D.C. United midfielder Paul Arriola has returned early from USMNT camp ahead of the Black-and-Red's fixture against Minnesota United FC on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at Audi Field at 7:30 PM ET on WJLA 24/7 News.
“I’m very thankful to have been able to represent the USMNT once again and although I am sad not to be taking part in the friendly against our rival Mexico, I am also excited to get back to playing for D.C. United to continue our strong push for a playoff spot," Arriola said. "I appreciate Dave [Sarachan] and the rest of the National Team technical staff for allowing me to get back to my club for Wednesday’s important match against Minnesota.”
With the U.S. only dressing 20 players for Tuesday’s match against Mexico, Arriola will not be replaced. The MNT continues the Kickoff Series with USA-Mexico, presented by AT&T, on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn.
