United goalkeeper Travis Worra and defender Luke Mishu have been loaned to the team’s USL-affiliate Richmond Kickers for their match Thursday against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, while Homegrown defender Chris Durkin has also been loaned and is available for the USL-affiliate’s match against English Premier League side Swansea City A.F.C. on Saturday.

Worra, 23, started 11 matches for United earlier this season and recorded 27 saves while posting a Goals Against Average of 0.91.  He made his first MLS start against the New England Revolution on March 12, earning his first career shutout. The Pennsylvania native previously played in one MLS match in 2015, making his debut as a substitute against the Vancouver Whitecaps on April 25 and playing 32 minutes.

Mishu, 25, made 11 starts for the Kickers last season and recorded one assist after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Notre Dame in March 2015.  The Tennessee native started all four matches of the 2015-16 CONCACAF Champions League group stage with United, as well as both Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches last year for the Black-and-Red and the team’s sole match in the tournament this season.

Durkin, the Black-and-Red’s eighth and youngest-ever Homegrown signing, made his competitive debut against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on June 15. He previously trained with the Kickers pro team last year and featured in their exhibition match against another English Premier League team, West Bromwich Albion, as a 15-year-old last July.  Durkin will continue to train with United before returning to Bradenton, Fla., full-time in August to continue his residency with U.S. Soccer and resume playing with the youth national team in preparation for the U-17 FIFA World Cup.
