On Tuesday, Dec. 2., D.C. United has the chance to move a giant step toward securing a permanent home of its own when the D.C. Council takes up the District of Columbia Soccer Stadium Development Act of 2014 for a first reading and vote. This is the last step before final approval of the bill, which has been passed by three committees since its original introduction in May.

Tuesday’s proceedings start with the Committee of the Whole, which begins at 10 a.m., followed immediately by the Council's Legislative Meeting in the Fifth Floor Council Chambers (Room 500) of the John A. Wilson Building (1350 Pennsylvania Ave. NW).

Be there. Wear your scarves and jerseys. Do not miss the chance to see the dream of a D.C. United stadium begin to become a reality. Show the D.C. Council what their positive vote will mean for the future of the city and D.C. United.

Coffee and pastries will be provided courtesy of Unite DC beginning at 9:30 a.m.
