D.C. United midfielder Andy Najar earned his third cap for the senior Honduras National Team on Wednesday at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, TX. Honduras played Peru to a 0-0 draw in an international friendly.

Najar played 74 minutes, the most he has ever played for the senior team. Interestingly, Boniek Garcia of the Houston Dynamo replaced Najar. D.C. United and Houston will play each other on Sunday night at RFK Stadium in Leg 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Najar is currently serving a two-match suspension from Major League Soccer for his actions during the Eastern Conference semifinal match against the New York Red Bulls on November 3. If United were to advance to the MLS Cup Final, he would be available for selection.
