As part of D.C. United’s continued efforts to make appearances in the community and through its partnership with Volkswagen, D.C. United players will be active in the Metropolitan Area following two weeks of MLS regular season play.
Midfielder Chis Pontius and rookie goalkeeper Joe Willis will both be appearing at Food & Friends on Wednesday, March 30th from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Food & Friends prepares, packages, and delivers meals and groceries to more than 2,800 people living with life-challenging illnesses throughout the D.C. Metro area.
The following day, Thursday, March 31st, defenders Jed Zayner and Chris Korb will also be available to the public. Zayner will be at Bancroft Elementary School from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. working with the FBI Adopt a School Program. Later that evening, Korb will be at the Cherry Blossom Tournament Draw Party at Nellie’s Sports Bar from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
